Theory of Marriage

As the saying goes, no man is an island. Being social creatures, it is likely that some of us will get married at some point in our life. University is the time where most people start to think about the criterias of their future partners, and take romantic relationships more seriously since they are aware that their current partner may be their future spouse. However, over the past few decades, the number of marriages seems to be decreasing, and the views on marriage have been changing.

This event aims on exploring the economic implications and perspective of marriage, understanding motives behind it and what implications it has to modern day society. It also plans to shed some insight on declining marriage rates and alternatives that are not commonly known.
